I was invited by Snapchat to create an AR lens for their new developer tool, Lens Studio. My lens, “Fly Me to the Moon”, celebrates the spirit of space exploration, turning the user’s face into a moon emoji. When one opens their mouth, a rocket flies out and lands on their head.

“Fly Me to the Moon” is a tribute to Georges Méliès “A Trip to the Moon”, one of the first and most significant innovations in motion picture technology dating back to 1902.

The lens has reached over 60,000 users, and has been featured in Snap’s “Snap Picks” and the Los Angeles Times.
